I would like to write my term paper about globalization. I will write about the global economy, the role of trade agreements in international trade and finaally I would like to discuss the EU and its currency, the Euro, in details.

One of the most significant countries in the world to affect global economic matters is the United States with it’s largest GDP. The global and the US economy is growing but inflation is not growing with it. This self-deflation is the result of the global market place, where companies have to compete with each other on the international or global level. Other regions that have a big role in shaping global economy are the European Union, the Middle East, the Far East, South America , the Caribbean region, Africa and of course Russia.

Regional trade agreements are very important in international trade. Trade agreements lower the trade barriers and prices consequently also open up a market for foreign investment opportunities. Increased trade will result in an increased production level, which will create a lot of jobs. I will about trade organizations like WTO, EU, EEA, NAFTA, CBI, MERCOSUR, OPEC and OECD. As a trend more and more countries across the world are becoming participants in some kind of agreement.

The European Union includes twenty five European nations, and expected to grow with additional countries form the eastern block. Twelve of these countries share the common currency, the Euro. I will discuss the advanteges and disadvanteges of this unified currency.
